ConnectMode

Enum ConnectMode

pub enum ConnectMode {
    Standard {
        force_login: bool,
    },
    Fetch {
        force_login: bool,
    },
}
Expand description

How a client asks the server to treat a login for an account that the server already holds a session for.

force_login: false — the server refuses the login (“Session Already Connected”) while it holds a session for the account.

force_login: true — once, and only once, the new connection has completed full authentication (the static device key at SYN, the fresh session key exchange, and the account credentials at connect STAGE0), the server stops the session it holds for the account — its peers receive the ordinary disconnect signal — and admits the new one with the same CID. Last authenticated login wins. An attempt that fails any step never touches the existing session.

The server cannot tell a half-open session (the client vanished without a FIN or RST reaching it) from a live one until its keep-alive expires — by default up to an hour (a 45-minute timeout checked every 15 minutes) — so a client that reconnects after losing its link should send force_login: true, or it is locked out until then.

There is deliberately no Default: whether a login may displace another is a decision every caller makes explicitly.
